Elementals

As we lay stretched out in the morning sun
Our minds and bodies in silent repose
Not touching, yet infinitely connected
How we do this? I’m still not sure

The rays of the sun crept higher and higher
surreptitiously stoking our mutual fire
Are you sated? I coyly asked under my breath
Knowing full well you posses unquenchable desire

Out of control now, like a runaway train
Even the rain tries to temper us but only in vain
In our own cosmic bubble, if the world ended we honestly wouldn’t care
All elements now present – Earth, Water, Fire & Air
